Jack Pine Planting Day 2022
Thank you for your interest in Jack Pine Planting Day. On Saturday, May 7, volunteers will gather on the north side of Refuge Road (School House Road on some maps) to plant more than 2,000 jack pine trees to create nesting habitat for the rare Kirtland's Warbler. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Kirtland's Warbler, the jack pine outwash plains, and why these jack pine trees are so important to everything in the ecosystem, including the fish in the Au Sable River.

Once you register, we will email you directions to the planting spot, a copy of our Covid policy, a waiver, and instructions on what to bring and what not to bring - like the coronavirus.

We will be providing lunch on-site after planting. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any special needs like gluten-free. If you require a special meal, it will be best if you bought your own. We apologize.
